Single Gen rum

Hey guys just wondering if anybody out there does single gen rums through a pot still?
How does the taste compare to multi gen?
I just finished a spirit run of 4 gens of Mcrum and am pretty happy however I got thinking about how it could be done quicker for people who may be time poor/impatient.
Hear me out,
If you had about 100Lt rum wash this would give you say 3 stripping runs. (50Lt keg)
These could be done in one day and lets say you got 15-20Lt of low wines all up.
I was thinking then adding feints, mainly tails from previous runs to give it more flavour.
This could all be done over 2 busy days saving weeks doing gens.
Any thought? :auto-dirtbike:

I do single gen RUM. You will get flavour similar to gens but it will take longer ageing for it to smooth out.

I think your method is sound and if you use the dunder from your last strip to start gen two your getting the best of both worlds!
If you don't plan on doing rum for a while leave the dunder in a container with a rag/old pillow case over it and you have a dunder pit started...

Single gen on french oak medium toast has bags of flavour for me, haven't felt the need to do multiple gens. Feed molasses and brown sugar works great. Definitely strip and spirit run though.

Thanks guys might give it a go one day.
Could do a small starter wash say 25-30Lt then use all the slops from the boiler to make the bigger wash all 2nd gen. Kinda like up scaling.
It looks like nobody adds feints to the spirit run? All the feints goes to the all feints run then.
Cheers

I always recycle my tails to ensure the progression of my rum oils.
Head go into a feints container and get run with an equal amount of wash.
