How much backset is to much?
I've just knocked up a quick 1st gem cfw and in my haste I poured about 50% backset in....
Anyone shed some light on optimum amount and the pros and cons
Cheers
Appolagies if this is in the wrong section

Probably some debate on "optimum" amount of backset but yeah 50% is on the very high side.

Got a PH meter at all? I assume that is gen 2 that you just started with it?

Yeah if you have another fermenter split it in half and dilute back and add some more sugar and grain etc :handgestures-thumbupleft:
