PH of a Kale Wash

Postby Ned » Tue Jan 22, 2019 10:04 am

Doing my 1st Kale Wash. done plenty of TPW and never checked the PH and they turned out great.
Check the PH of the Kale Wash and it was 2.97
I know this has been address on the forum and need a ph of between 3 and 4 to keep the bakers yeast happy.
The OG was 1.065
How much baking soda would you add to 25 litres to bring it up 1 ph point.?
Will this make it too salty ?
I suppose I am correct in saying that once its distilled it will be okay.

I’d be using calcium carbonate or oyster shells and not bi carb.
