TPW SG reading

G'Day All

Just checking TPW SG after 11 days and discover SG reading of 1000. I was of the impression it would get to 990. The 150litre fermenter is temperature stable with aquarium heater(300W set at 28.3 - 30.6) and bubbled nicely for approx 4 days. Fogot to check SG at startup. Yeast was pitched at 30 degrees, using Lowans red. Is SG important?

sg is a guide...990 is ideal, however 1000 is good to go...I dont worry to much about sg reading theses days...just let it settle out for a week or two, my best tpw was left for quite a while as i was in Sydney...I stressed out over thought of losing this wash but it was great and it looked like fanta clear as. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers for that. Just stripping the wash now to see how it goes. So far 6 litres from 50 litres of wash down to about 45 ABV. First stripping run, so still learning.
