I noticed you leave it in the sun. I have heard this can cause problems for the yeast... but if you arent having any problems dont worry about it...

I went to my local pet shop and bought an aquarium heater for about $20. Works a treat!!! although I'm only running 25L washes, so you would need a bigger one... From pitching the yeast to the wash self-clearing takes about 6 days with the heater in, I tend to take it out on day 5 and move it to my other fermenter if it is not ready yet.

A rough guide mate is 1 kg of sugar makes 1ltr of alcohol then minus your cuts. :handgestures-thumbupleft: ... i think.. doubting myself now :think: I'm happy to be corrected here

Just did my second tpw. Fist strip. Pulled about 3l. Stopped when it got to 20%. Could be wrong as I have had a lot of rum. (Trying to get rid of turbo neutral). It's hard work haha

are you running this through a pot or a reflux still for the spirit run ?

Reflux. Just got my boiler tigged today. Wire it tomoro then I'll be using it.
