Weetbix Allbran Wash

Postby whimpy64 » Sat Oct 12, 2013 9:25 am

I had a go at this recipe but changed it a little bit to suite what I had available .

8 weetbix , 3 cups Allbran, 1/4 cup honey , 100g wheat germ with 5kg raw sugar. Cooked for 30 mins then mixed up to 30l with tap water . Pitched 100g bakers yeast and 1teaspoon Epsom salt . It smells awesome and took off real fast !

Hi all, I'm a newbie at this distilling caper and decided to do this recipe side by side with Mcstill's TPW which I have
had great success with over the past few months.

Put both down yesterday afternoon..... The TPW took off almost immediately Temps for both were between 28 and 34 Deg but the Weetbix Allbran wash hasnt done a thing left it overnight got up this morning and pitched some more yeast and gave it another good stir but still nothing.

Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated

Great site here btw and the knowledge is fantastic

Thanks in Advance
