Blacksheep Wash

Postby Nanodistiller » Mon Nov 11, 2013 1:07 pm

We have made this quite often. And it is requested quite often from my co-workers.

Make 5 gallons of strong coffee (18.93 liters), I have time to kill I do it one pot at a time.
Add 10 pounds (4.54 KG) of cane sugar.
Mix well while hot to get your sugar dissolved.

I use a polyculture of yeasts, so pick your favorite yeast. Hydrate and when cool enough pitch on in.
You might want to put a towel under this one as it likes to foam like a rabid dog.
Addition of vitamin B complex series of vitamins and Epsom Salt is also welcome if you subscribe to the notion of using it.

I will run this two or three times through the potstill depending on the time I have available. The coffee flavor carries over.

Makes a nice shot if you bring it down to 100 proof. Add a little cream and some sugar to the shot. Better than Irish coffee!
