Not sure if Aldi have the same pricing across Australia but my missus got me 5 x 2kg bags of white sugar for $1.69 each on the NSW south coast today. Thats 85c per kilo.
Not sure how long the special is for so jump in quick.

Cheers.

Still a great price, since it's a great sugar (100% same as a well known brand)

Yes it is, no such luxury over in the west where $2+ p/kg is the norm :crying-blue:

Picked up 46kg of sugar at Woollies today (89c kg) and 5 jars of Legos tomato paste.

Check out chick said “THAT’S A LOT OF SUGAR YOU GOT THERE WHY DO YOU WANT SOOOO MUCH?”

It covers the smell of decomposing bodies was my reply. :shhh:

And not another word was said during our transaction.

if you are lucky enough to have a costco near you they have 25kg bags for 11.79 saves buying by 2kg lots only downside is it cost 60 to join but they seem to have alot of bulk items that would come in handy :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Found out my daughter had a Cosco card so had her come with me this morning & their 25kg sugar (Canberra) was $18.99. I grabbed 2 bags but it took 1.5 hours & I saved $10. Don't think I'll bother next time.

But you did get to spend time with your daughter..... that's the real benefit

I use to distil out the side of the house at night and my daughter would sit with me for hours.
We got time to talk ... or should I say I had time to listen..
Still have fond memories of that.

maybe she just liked driving :)

currently using aldi sugar as well, woollies homebrand 3kg was marginally cheaper i think.

wonder if there is any difference, the first wash i put down with woollies sugar, inverted partially (boiled for 20 minutes) with juice of a real lemon, baby porridge from coles, forget the brand, airlock went off like a steamtrain for 2 days.

second and third washes with aldi sugar have been a LOT slower. like 1 bubble a second instead of 10.

might try woollies again next time just to see if it goes quicker again.

put down a woollies sugar wash following same recipe I did for the aldi, seems a tiny bit quicker but not the same as my first one.

reckon they're identical really.

further testing to follow..

They're usually all the same sugar from the Hardwood mill afaik
