Making a Wash with Still?

Postby SimonBrew » Sat Feb 22, 2014 1:26 pm

My T500 Is connected to the tap and the output temperature is around 57° that anybody use this to recreate their wash?

I'm just thinking you save me a whole bunch of time because usually i use the kettle and cold filtered water and mixed together that way to get the right temperature over so to do at the same time as distilling it will save time.

Just interested in what you do?

When starting another gen I use the hot back-set to dissolve sugar and wait for this to cool before adding to the fermenter, top up and whack in the aquarium heater and shes off.

If your not doing gens then condenser output is a great way of getting free hot water :handgestures-thumbupleft:

But if your heating kettle after kettle of water you could just use your T500 boiler to heat water to 30 odd and your good to go :)

Agreed I use the boiler for cooking the cornflakes and dissolving sugar for cfw. Easy to stir, heats fast, good volume it's a handy little thing. Not a bad crab Cooker either :laughing-rolling:
