To save me having to buy and store 20kg bags of corn and wheat I got some mixed grain (2 x 2kg bags) from the feed store the other day. It has cracked corn, uncracked wheat, sorghum and sunflower seeds. Will I get any flavour from the uncracked grains, namely wheat or does it need to be cracked? I am going to add 1kg of LME and 10kg of sugar and make it into a 50L wash.

Got a coffee grinder? Use it on its coarsest grind to crack the grain :handgestures-thumbupleft:

No worries. I have got a thermomix (kinda like a big blender) that can mill the grain, but it can only do 250g at a time so I was not going to crack it of I didn't have to. Looks like I will just have to do it. Thanks for the advice. Will let everyone know how it goes once I run it through the still.

I was wondering if anyone here might have one. They are a pretty awesome machine.
