Rum wash in storage

Postby CH3CH2OH » Tue Oct 28, 2014 9:36 am

I have had a situation where my son's girlfriend, a cop, has been staying with us for the last 3 months. I have had to put everything away out of sight and have had a rum wash stored at a cool temp in glass carboys for the last 3 months. They were racked off the lees after fermentation was finished and have been in airlocked carboys since. Seems to smell ok, not funky and no colonies floating on top!! looks like the day it went in there except for some solids settled on the bottom.

What are the chances that this is still good to run?

It should be fine mate, as long as it's kept airtight and no nasties can get in to infect it I reckon it'll be alright :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Pretty unlucky about the sons choice of girlfriend, can't help you there :teasing-tease:

You never know what might happen in a young relationship. Bad break-up and I am the victim of revenge ....

Not a path I am going to venture down. The less people that know my hobby the better, especially when they have a badge

I'd be more likely worry about the ones without a badge, but a great point about "revenge"
