TPW virgin

Putting down some TPW today as the mrs wants some neutral for skittle/musk flavouring for Xmas.
Having only done molasses wash through my pot I'm keen to try this out.
I've only done 200ltr washes in old olive barrels but will be using 4x30ltr clear drums so I can see what's going on, if it works I'll be using the 200ltr again.
Will keep you posted.

Would I be right in thinking I strip first with my pot and then run that through my bok or 2 bok runs?

Strip it through the pot and run the low wines at 40% or less through the Bok, and you should get yourself some fine neutral :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Any of those should be right, I'd guess they're all more or less the same thing anyway :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I put down 4x25l batches at a time i ran my pot last night 2 stripping runs and i ended up with a little over 30 litres of 50% ill water that down tonight to under 40% put it through my reflux it makes a great nuetral

Crap, no I didn't.
I've read it's very forgiving though, I hope so as I've already mixed it all up.
I couldn't find the answer to this q so when pitching the yeast do I mix it or sprinkle on top?

Im not sure exactly but i think aldi white sugar is 1.79$ for 2kg. i found black and gold, homebrand etc is still more expensive than aldi sugar. and they have tomato paste in a jar also. all cheaper than coles and woolies.
ill be trying out their tomato paste in a few days. just thought i would mention this for the ones that wish to spend as little as possible

At 40 deg it will take off that is where I try to keep my rum ferments fast ferment equals flavour carryover and funky tastes from the yeast great for rum, but for tpw 32deg or under for me slower is cleaner in my experience. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Been above 40c here the last couple of days and 28c+ nights so the shed is hot as he'll. bubbling very slowly now after a fast couple of days. Might need a second fermenter fridge at this rate
