What the most basic ingredients, the bare minimum (and proportion of each), to successfully ferment a wash for a reflux still please?

Don't let it's simplicity fool you, the TPW will make a perfectly neutral alcohol if distilled and cut well!

The TPW is a very easy and very forgiving, well suited for newbies.

However, it also makes a great neutral, so it is the wash of choice for many experienced shiners as well.

Hope you enjoy the first taste...

there is also Wineos Plain Ol Sugar Wash. but that will require a trip to the homebrew shop, which is why most people prefer TPW

:text-+1: to the weetbix wash. I stay away from TPW mostly because there's more hassle with storing or wasting unused tomato paste since I don't put a wash on very often and the recipe on my scale doesn't call for very much tomato paste and I don't use it in cooking...its also more expensive than the weetbix wash especially if you go for home brand weetbix. I'm also a big fan of the slight wheat flavour when run through my 4 plate bubbler. Tastes great with lemon squash...about to go mix one now :D

If I had a packed section I'd probably go the TPW more often.

TPW....

easy to brew, easy to run..... and easy to cut....
and run it 2x...... OMG best neutral ever!!

( yes WB has a better mouth feel.... but in a neutral i want thin and strong)

Weetbix wash stripped and then run through the bubbler is less wheaty and even more neutral, fantastic :-)
