Table is pre sparge so much higher abv. I worked out effeciencey with brewers friend.

The chart was to track my progress to see if I was getting proper conversion. At 3l/kg mash thickness.

According to brewers friend at 75% effeciency i should get 90l at 1.057. I just dropped the effeciency back till it matched my og...of 1.049 65%

Thanks bluc! :handgestures-thumbupleft:
That makes sense.. i actually used brewers friend to check mine, but i wasn't real sure how accurate it was since i used my own malt and not one of the listed ones.

For someone like me, wonder if you ‘home-beer-brewers’ could put together a couple of posts that explains the processes in more detail. Like a 101 for home brewing...

Not looking for recipes, per se but more process of working out how much water, what temp, :teasing-blah: and working out things like efficiency... how to use Brewers friend and such...

I think that's a great idea Ez. A thread outlining the basics of the all-grain process would be very helpful to many people.

Blucs thread alone has some very good stuff on it and if that was combined with a few other basic pricipals for anyone starting out, it would be a great starting point.
Great idea Ezi! :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Mixed some wort today before pitching yeast 1/3rd low gravity two thirds higher gravity and bang on 1.049. The math works. Here is the post I used

Will do... had a nice looking foam in the boiler like your photo the other day. Had to cut the power for 15 mins, hasn't been a problem since. :-D
