Anyone care to share some?
I might have a go at putting one together this weekend if I can find a design I like and rustle up the bits and bobs.
Cheers

Whiskey - exactly what I'm after!
Bluc - I was thinking that initially but I'll probably run them separate so I can create a few washes one after the other rather than doing one at a time.
We're going to order a still this weekend, all things to plan picking up a boiler next weekend and then getting into it.
I want to do as many runs as I can until I get used to what the hell I'm doing!

This is what I have just started using. I can mash 75kg grain at a time and can sparge in the same time as 30kg in my old set up which was a 105L Eski @30kg.
It is a 209L food grade hdpe open top drum with a 500mm false bottom. The falsie was from the has store and fit without modifying it. With a full mash it doesn't need insulation as the temp doesn't drop much over 3hrs but I have rubber matt insulation here that I'll give it two wraps.

By the side is the ground grain 2 60L and a 30L container with 160L of water @70ish gave me 63c :music-deathmetal:

I like the blue drum idea and within reach of anyone :handgestures-thumbupleft: good to know it holds temp. Have you done smaller mashs or only full volume. How did they go temp wise? Hope to get my stuff for some grain fun soon :handgestures-thumbupleft:

No elements in the mash tun just an 80L keg. So 80L Water from the hot tap and the keg heated to about 87c makes for 160L at 70ish and 63 once the grain goes in.
