It cost me $580 for the tun with the custom immersion coil (Would have been cheaper without the coil, but i wanted to have it for cooling/Heating) I got it delivered to my door as i didn't want to deal with all the problems at customs and port fees etc, So postage cost me another $400. It ended up costing a bit, but its alright :D

Considering a plain used stainless drum goes for 300-400 on gumtree I would say you did well. Is it all sanitary welded?

Thanks mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yeah all sanitary welded. I made sure of that first because i have seen mash tuns that are not sanitary welded and trying to clean them..

Might want to read the commercial advertising rules before you go any further with that venture on this forum.

Hey Sam :greetings-waveyellow:

I thought you would comment. I’m not a commercial seller or seller as any sort and understand that 5star is the sole advertiser on AD. Just if anyone was interested I was more then happy to help. Not looking for a profit

Finally got around to setting up the mash tun. It’s taken a while.

I’m just waiting on the silicone hoses and connects to come then will be up and running :happy-partydance:

Its actually for corn. I'm not sure how i'm going to set it up yet, still trying to figure that out, Sam gave me some good ideas :handgestures-thumbupleft: But i found it on gumtree for $30 so i couldn't not buy it :happy-partydance:

But i have 2 elements after the false bottom of my mash tun that i will use for the strike water and then i have a 5star rims that I'm going to setup. I still have to set up all the plumbing, i have an immersion chiller that I'm going to connect and use my still cooling lines.

Blue and red pex pipe is connected to my still cooling lines and IBC's. It should cool the wort quick enough and save buying another cooler.

And here I was getting all excited about my new 80l mashtun build.

But how the hell are you gonna clean out that thing at the end of a mash?

:laughing-rolling: yeah it's going to be a bit of a pain.. I'm hoping to get a stand made with some kind of swing for the mash tun. So I can swing it forward and clean it out easy.
