retard needs help with bourbon recipe

Postby danmiz » Sun Jul 15, 2012 2:48 pm

hi all. im new and i've 5 sugar washes and am pretty pleased with the results and was wanting to maybe try a bourbon mash since i just received 3 5 L barrels that i would love to have bourbon in. here are my issues.
1 i live in a city and have limited supply to ingredients i read on here (i think) or im sure where to get them. i think we have a beer store somewhere but thats a rumor.
2 what is the absolute easiest recipe for bourbon to practice with ( remember im retarded). THE EASIEST.
3 sometimes the terms used when reading all the recipe formus throws me for a loop.
thanks in advance

You are going to need to kerb the attitude. As a new comer to a group you need to ease your way in and learn the ways of the group. Demands, abuse and petulance will see you frog marched out in quick time.

There is a good opportunity for you to learn to be a much better distiller here than you are now. Best not to squander it wanting it all in one day. 8-)

It happens more than you think & more than you see

If it keeps happening I'll fix it, plain and simple.... as for typo's that's no excuse when spell check is so readily available ;-)

Apologies :text-offtopic: . Surely there are acceptable edits and unacceptable edits. For example, acceptable edits would include:

  • Correcting spelling and silly errors,
  • Clarifying your meaning,
  • Changing wording if, on second thoughts, you think you might come across a bit harsh,
  • Adding a link or helpful info to an existing post rather than making a whole new post

There are probably a few more.

Then there are unacceptable edits:

  • Editing or deleting part of a post that someone has responded to specifically,
  • Editing or deleting posts to make other people in the thread look bad,
  • Buggering up the flow of a thread with edits and deletes.

I edit most of my posts (I get paid to be anal about such things), but I always do it for the right reasons. People who make unacceptable edits should first be warned -- they mightn't have thought the edit would lead to such consequences. If they meant it, however, then you should give 'em the treatment :violence-stickwhack: .

It would be a shame to lose the ability to edit posts. Edits can be handy if done for the right reasons. And leaving edits available to us sure beats making us have to post corrections in subsequent posts, like, for example, "Mate, in my 13:25 post I meant to say fores, not heads," blowing out the length of threads.

[PS. I've edited this post three times.]

There's a "preview" button right next to the "submit" button ;-)

It's not open for discussion, if it keeps happening the edit button is gone....

A good chance for you lot to moderate yourselves before you "submit"

Okay. Point taken.

I can only assume that the edit function is being abused. That's a damn shame. :handgestures-thumbdown:
