Hi guys,
I''m looking for a more affordable means to buy malted barley, and rye in victoria.
I'm using a bit of malt from the HBS, but its expensive, like $4.00 plus a kilo.

You beer guys seem to be able to get the stuff by the sack, but where?

Grain and grape? or similar?

Hey empty, was wondering this very thing today as I want to try this whisky game. The missus mentioned a supplier she uses for flax seeds. Seems they have barley and stuff, I know nothing about it so can't say if the barley they have listed is what we need?. I know.there cheap though, missus gets 15kg flax seeds here for around $30 and everywhere else in Melbourne wants almost twice the price.

Yeah I use grain and grape - last I checked it was about $55 for a 25kg bag of pale malt. Peated malt is really expensive around $100 a 25kg bag. If you find anywhere to buy it cheaper, let us know.
