So I got a grain mill :-D
I been using the missus food processor to break the grains for the MacWhisky. This has basically broken half and floured the rest. Not anymore :handgestures-thumbupleft:

This thing is the first step in my all grain journey.
In the background the bubbler's chewin away at the latest MacWhisky. If I wasn't playin pool tonight i might be drunk by now. That stuff is sweeeeeeet.

10 to 15 mins max for a 25kg bag - worst thing about what you've done (and how I setup mine first as well) is that using it like you have shown you have to hold the drill with one hand and shovel stuff into the top with the other which is annoying. Mount it on a bench so you can set the drill running and just pour it in without stopping all the time, especially for large crushing volumes.

Sounds good to me. I just whacked a bit of ply under it so i could see how it goes.
It goes hard :handgestures-thumbupleft: Kilo of malt. "Fark you malt" twenty seconds. At least i think it was twenty seconds. I couldn't time it cause i had the drill in one hand and me knob in the other.
Just got home from the eightball. We managed to win our way thru to the grandfinal in a couple of weeks. Might get drunk.........er :-D

Oh! Hilly. Love to see yr mill setup mate. You make good scotch.

Here you go bushy finally found a photo, I use a corded Mikita drill which has a auto trigger so the drill stays on. We originally had a mill like yours but wore it out so upgraded to the beast attached. I'm just about to put a door on as well.

Farout. I reckon it's gonna take me a while to wear it out. Thanks for the comeback Hilly. I'm still waitin to see Mac's first allgrain whiskey. From there I'll go in one direction or the other with the allgrain. Seriously thinkin of doing a mash I seen on HD. Jimbo's corn wheat malt something or other. Just need to cut the top outta one of me kegs.

I have seen these with a Lilly pressed on an ran by an old washing machine motor. If those mills weren't so much I'd have done it ages ago
