Unfortunately, I am going to be spending one of my valuable challenge weeks fishing. In an hours time i'm off to the airport because i'm going to the Montebellos. Yeah baby.
While i'm away the backup crew will be busy signin for my new esky, so it's all good.
See you lot next week

Very nice!!! Load up on pink giant tremblers, the trout n cod go nuts on them, inside the middle complex there's a nice mangrove area with mud crabs... Worth a look. Keep in mind there's a 500m exclusion zone around the gas platforms there... They take it pretty seriously.

Swimmin around a row of little islands shootin coral trout and asked the skipper to take the tender over to the next island. "Sorry mate. That ones 490 metres from that rig over there and we'll get buzzed for sure"
We probably could have been mistaken for terrorists :wtf:

I tell ya Brendan. While you were away, they changed my name to Pushy. Bastards. People seem to misinterpret my onwardly mobile online encouragement. But, i digress. The mash tun currently consists of a big fuck off 200 litre esky, one home made heat exchanger as per Hilly's example and a pump. Waiting on staino fittings now. I won't mention the site but ffs. Why pay for express post when nothin fuckin happens. I coulda drove across the fuckin nullarbour and picked the shit up quicker. Anyway, two weeks left. :teasing-neener:

I would put 6 weeks at the 13th of December, just over a week by my calculations ;-)

I'll give you 12 Bushy, because I'm an understanding sort of bloke ;-)

And because I promised the world in 6 weeks, and fell miserably short!

Good on your for going to this effort on the HERMS!

I'm putting together a copper coil immersion chiller tomorrow, and will just be using a batch sparge in my well insulated keg mash tun...hoping to break into the world of all grain :D

Thanks to Hilly for the heat exchanger design and of course the other bloke who's name escapes me at the moment. :teasing-neener:
This thing is the ducks nuts. Need to have a play with the centre tube sprays. Bit of solder and some new holes and away we go. Thinking my first mash will be a wheat whisky straight out of "From Harvest to Moonshine" May just up the malt factor a little to make for an easy first try.
Wish me luck
