I am new to grain for spirits. I do BIAB for beers so I have a boiler.
Question is I have a 4kg of Rye Malt and also 4kg of golden promise. What is a good ratio (I want to ferment them separately) of grain to water for the mash.

Excellent. Might make a smaller batch by the sounds of it or wait until I get more grain :-)

if you mash in with 50L of water you will yield about 42L of wort @ 1040-1048 depending on efficiency. Grind superfine for really good efficiency, not great for beer but is fine for spirits.
