Counterflow wort chiller is the plan hopefully knock it up Monday work is going to get in the way on the weekend :))

I've been thinking and im worried that cooked corn might not be easy to pump through a counterflow chiller im talk about cooling to temp to add malts. Am I better off building an immersion chiller or can I sacrifice some malt at high temp say 85c to thin it out. Someone here dealt with this before? :think:
