Aldi Dehydrator

For those who malt and dry their own grains, Aldi have a 5-tier dehydrator available this Wednesday for $40... Not sure if suitable but price is ok :handgestures-thumbupleft:

If this is the one firekitty I don't think it would be very suitable... If you where malting around 12 kg of grain in that dehydrator it would take for ever.

But all the same for other purposes it would be great. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks for the heads up. Will check out aldi tomorrow!
Been wanting one for ages, not wanting to pay $100+ not for home brewing purposes, but for snacking purposes :laughing-rolling:

I've got an older Aldi one, been using it for a few years to make jerky
Mrs sp0rk bought it to make dried fruit and it's only ever had jerky in it :laughing-rolling:

I heard in a different forum that if the holes in it are too big for your purposes, you can cut fly-screen to size for the job :handgestures-thumbupleft:

TBH, unless you're looking for a very specific darkness when you're kilning it or you're getting your grains free/growing your own, it's not really worth malting it yourself
