Can I Watch??

Postby Heffers » Fri Apr 08, 2011 11:29 pm

I'm not sure whether it's a sacred thing or not but I just want to be sure that I'm doing it right.

Weird I know, but I'd rather be a bit embarrased once online than be drinking sub-par alcohol for years.

Really I just want to be able to smell someone else's neutral straight from the still head so as that I can have a bit of confidence or figure out if I am doing something wrong. I seem to have a faint odour of something between a fruity/corn aroma from my spirit which I am not sure is right. I am still fermenting sugar/turbo washes so this might be the cause but I am not sure.

I am in Brisbane and would be happy to bring along a few beers to sit down with someone whilst they are collecting in exchange for some hot tips.

Cheers, Heffers

Hey Heffers,

I can tell you now the smell is from the turbo wash, there are a lot of us distilling in Brisbane. I was going to organise a get together a while back, I will be moving house shortly once I get there and settled in I might have to organise something.

I'll PM you in the next few days.

Cheers,

Thanks guys. I drop you a PM after ANZAC Day Andy and see where we're at then.

It would be great to meet up and be able to put some faces to names Spud, count me in.

If anyone is ever going up to see McStill, give me a yell and I'll get a lift if I could? He is a bit of a drive out in the sticks :geek:
