With the molasses I'd be using a rum recipe posted in the proven section, and for your corn you can use my bourbon knock off recipe and just use corn instead of adding barley and wheat.

On other forums the best and easiest corn recipe is called UJSM, and that's what my bourbon knock off basically is.

Cheers.

If you have a reflux still, Pints Fast Fermenter ( pintoshine-fast-ferment-molasses-wash-t197.html ) makes a brilliant white rum/bacardi/neutral. ;)

No girls drink, water this down to 50% and mix 1/3rd white rum 1/3rd fruit juice and 1/3rd lemonade.

You'll be asleep in your armchair before you even feel drunk 8-)

No don't use it the same as bakers yeast. It's a proper distillers yeast. Pitch it at sorta beer rates. A tablespoon or so for a 20-40l wash.

You can make it last a lot longer if you just pitch about a cup of an active wash into a new one. I use 'Danstil C', i always have a ujsm going, so i'll just dip a cup of ujsm and throw it in a sugar wash or rum wash or whatever. 8-)

Dunno about your mollasses price, i get mine for free.

Speed of fermentation depends on lots of factors, the most important one being temperature. Google up a spec sheet for your yeast, or ask on AD, i know a few blokes went in on a bulk buy of the 493 a while ago.

You can make a starter, pitch dry or pitch active wash into your mollasses wash, it'll all work the same.
