Inside my keg

Postby Shaun » Fri Jun 05, 2020 5:05 pm

Sorry, last post for today, i promise.

I just emptied my keg and took a photo, i have a small amount of liquid i can't remove plus some stuff that looks like mold or rust, i will leave the drain valve open to air it out (could be a disaster if iforget when filling) suggestions for cleaning this or is it normal?

If its actually rust and the others dont work, get a 10% solution of citric acid heated up in there at over 50 degrees for 30 mins, should clean it up
It will passivate those welds too

Good tip on the passivation with citric, was wondering what I would do when I weld my boiler as pickling paste is nasty stuff I don't want in my house.
I shudder to think about how I was using it on yr 10 work experience back in the day now that I know the full risks.
