turbo sugar

Postby jman69 » Sun Apr 04, 2021 6:25 pm

Hi. Recently i have started to make tomato paste washes instead of using turbo sugar etc.
Question, i have one two kg. bag of turbo sugar spare , can i put in with the next t.p.w? ie: three kg of white sugar and the two kg turbo sugar. Or should i just ditch the turbo stuff? Thanks in advance.

I may be wrong , it’s been a while but isn’t turbo sugar just dextrose ?
Use it at 1:1 and you’ll be fine (I think)

I found a box of turbo sugar lurking in the cupboard and used 1 kg per TPW wash (the rest was white sugar) until it was gone. it had little bits of carbon in it. Worked fine.
Cheers Carol.

No, of course not. i also put in tomato paste and citric acid. it's bubbling away nicely.
