Hi LoR.
Goon is just the cheap wine you buy in the 5L "box"
As for your temps, they're fine no need for more heat it will just take a little longer.
Now for the speed, I cant give you a definitive answer.
But if you can strip the first run fast then dilute to 40% and re run it as slow as possible. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

A water run is not really good enough if this is a brand new still. You really should do a vinegar run to completely clean out any flux and other unwanted contaminates in there. Having said that and that being the excepted modus op used by most ppl I also believe that your foreshots and heads will do the same thing as both a sacrificial spirit run (junk alcohol) and a vinegar run just if you are skipping these steps cool but don't look to reuse your head cuts on this first run. All the best with your run either way you do it, I've read that those stills are more difficult to run than most other designs but once your ready to roll ppl who have run them may chime in with advise

Don't be scared be excited .

Crows right,if its a brand new still you probably should do a vinegar run first to dissolve and clean out any flux left during construction .
Recon you probably have seen this already but check this out.

Goon has about the same alcohol level as the TPW so its a good indicator of what will happen when you do the real thing .( except that goon has more shit in it than TPW so the heads will smell way worse and the tails ....... :puke-huge: ) A great education tool on what to look for ,smell and taste ( actually best not to taste on a cleaning run......just in case )

Ok, so I'll do a vinegar run then goon run then real run. This'll be interesting!

If you Run goon thru the still correctly, put it on Oak, you can get quite a nice Brandy :handgestures-thumbupleft:
