Just wondering what people do with new stainless fittings? Vinegar bath? Citric bath? Not part of still is a drain for storage tank.

I'd just clean them with warm soapy water or chuck em in the dishwasher.
Stainless is stainless after all.

I thought that first fitting looked familiar.
Glad its coming together for you.

As for treating/cleaning them, metho bath for oils, caustic/acid bath for organics.
Warm soapy water for a for general dirt and plane water for a final wash.
No body like a soapy rum/whiskey.

Tri-sodium phosphate (TSP) is by far the best cleaner for new equipment. Available from Bunnings and sold as Tricleanium. Costs about $10.00 per kilo and lasts a long time. Very good for cleaning things like ovens and micro-waves as well.

PS: My local Bunnings has it stocked in the "paint" section not the "cleaners" section.

Oxalic acid is used to clean stainless.
