I've got myself a 220l drum which I am unsure of what was in it previously so want to clean it really well to be certain. Have picked up some Napisan, just wondering how much I should use in how much water to give it a good clean? Also have a good power washer so I will blast it a couple times with that too

I would use about half a cup of napisan and maybe 10L water .
Roll it around the yard with the lid sealed in for a couple of days then rinse really well.
Good to go.

Just a word of warning, if that drum previously had something like truck wash it will have impregnated the plastic and no amount of cleaning will remove it, oh and drinking truck wash will kill you.

I just read the sds on this and was thinking it might be ok until I got to page 11, paraphrasing a bit here but basically it said any used containers should be declared as hazardous
I wouldn’t use it mate :handgestures-thumbdown:

Yeah I just read that, says any 'uncleaned' containers must be disposed of as hazardous waste

True, maybe it’s ok then after a good wash? I cut the whole top of my 200L drum then went to town with a gurney and scrubbing brush and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed. But, I’m pretty sure i still didn’t get it all out.
Mine had a hospital grade sanitizer in it specifically designed to kill things like yeast, my first couple of washes stalled but now they don’t.

Fill with water and add bleach and let soak for a few days :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Rinse really well after.
