What sort of still are you running?

Never put more than 40% back through, personally i would run a few batches water to 40% so you have a full boiler charge then make good cuts.

What sort of wash are you making? Because you wont get a clean neutral with a pot

70% isnt that bad given the still u have. Does it taste like shit or is it ok... as you will not gain that much re running thru a crude pot just to up the ABV, only to have to dilute it to 40% to drink. As Hardie said, you will have some 'flavour' carryover no matter what you do as the pot will not give you a pure neutral.(like vodka). Not sure if you collect the first 50/100ml and exclude it from the rest as that is the bad stuff...head aches etc...Also, a 'brown sugar wash' is a bit vague... what else do u put in it? That way we can help with your questions.

I would assume he means sugar and water, like for turbo.

If your doing brown sugar as in the soft fluffy stuff you will get a light rum. What yeast did you use and did you do cuts? 70 in a pot is fine for a flavoured spirit.. it will need some time with oak to develop..

Once your ferment has worked off and finished you will not taste the white sugar if you wanted to you could use brown raw sugar but it is more expensive. I can never taste the difference between different sugars used but maybe that's just me.
Once you taste to difference of how much better lowans bakers yeast is compared to them turbos you will never look back and the bonus is that it's so cheap also. :D

With the pot still you may be better off with the weetbix all bran style washes. The grainyness is quite nice as a vodka, or you can oak it for more flavour.

No idea how tpw will go in a pot. Tomato vodka anyone?

As Stonemaker says... the type of sugar is almost irrelevant as the yeast converts (eats) it... it will not impact on flavour and is MUCH cheaper, give it a try. Piss the Turdbo off and you will knot know yourself... TPW is good...KALE is better.(if u r chasing a clean neutral)
