Hi all

I was doing a little research on making a new condenser coil and came across people making it Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing saying "which offers much more ease of building less resistance and more adaptability but still takes the same height"

Where can we get this from in AU?

This exact question has come up within the last 12 months, i think it was decided it was too much effort.

Is that the flexable gooseneck hose..

With fins as well i think.

I far I've only tried it in 2in copper with a 2000W element, on full noise the csst worked easy when I stripped my wash. I used 900mm 13mm csst tube :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I had to jam it in there though, I still haven't made my new still with 3in yet

Is this stuff already terminated with connectors?

These are ready made units in Stainless 316, they have a heap of units made in 304 that can be done cheaper in 1/2" with 1/2 BSP female fittings and lengths 300mm to 1.2m

I was thinking for a 3" condenser, grab 1 meter of 1/2", coil it up stuff it in and terminate the 1/2" female with 1/2" nipple to hose tail connectors,, PLEASE excuse the drawing (art was not my thing)

What are your thoughts guys?

This is the go to product for guys wanting to make a cheap easy adjustable reflux/pot hybrid.

I have seen a deflag made out of it also :-B

So you guys think this will work ok?

I dont think i could do a double coil it would be a single but the added surface area should more than make up for it?
