I called HBS at parklands to get further clarification from what I had been told, owner said his wife made a mistake and it’s not MALTED but actually pre-gelitized corn imported from America (already cooked for distilling)
$7.50 a kg or $65.00 for 14KG bag. I think that is very expensive but sorry about my mistake but that’s what I had been told originally :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Ahh ok like flaked corn going to try that also :handgestures-thumbupleft: btw micronised is not gelatinized and still needs extensive pre mash cooking..

There’s a couple of vids by the same bloke on YouTube Bluc who sprouts popcorn, pretty informative, but looks like an arse ache still. ibrew do sell pregelatinised corn which is available in 11kg bags. Too dear tho. The old bloke swear by it but then again, it’s his way or the hiway usually. Basically just heat up / rehydrate and enzyme it, so no hr long stirring session. Be interested to see how you go sprouting. Sprout on Fella..!!!! :)) :))
