Running 4" Plated Column Still as a Pot

Just starting out and need some advise? then post it in here.

Still learning also but I would imagine as long as the rc water temp and flow remained constant then it would hold abv. There would just be less falling reflux. You wouldnt stop the reflux completely. I am not sure but I would guess collection rate would increase, how much it increases would depend on abv your targeting. Another way like stig said is to drop a plate or two.. :-B

equipment: 2" pot with 2" shotty 400mm long 5x 1/2" on a t500 boiler.
50l keg boiler 4" still mount 4" sight glass 1" drain..
4 plate 4" bubbler, 600mm packed section

Ok thanks bluc. I might try dropping a plate or two first as I don't want any smearing, but then again as I'm prepared to age this stuff for a while maybe a little smearing won't hurt. So much to learn... thanks for your help!
