I think the temp caused the change as just water is fine,try putting the water only one in the fridge and see what it looks like once chilled,with my lemon vodka ifn I dilute below 42-43%ABV it can go cloudy or when I put it in the freezer for frosty shots,and I put it down to the slight amount of citrus oil,and I have done some corn wash's that seemed ta have that oily greesy feeling,so when ya chill it with ice the oil comes out of solution as it forms a solid state at that temp,and diluteting means less alcohol ta keep it in suspension too.and all brown spirits I do go thru the coffee paper just to be sure,as I do not like crud or the odd little fly makeing it into a bottle , anyhhooo my thoughts .cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:
