Propagating yeast for big wash

Thank you everyone for your very kind and informative responses, the general note we are getting is that propagating for this size wash might be a little ambitious. I will say i am surprised that on mast distilling forums propagation of yeast does not seem to be as common as it does on brewing forums, i think we might play around with this and share our notes at the end.

This video here is what started us thinking about it and experimented with a Whitelabs liquid yeast (not sure is dry yeast would be treated the same)

No reason you cant innoculate a 200l wash with a starter that originated from a single packet dry yeast will just take time thats all.

Big distilleries think jim beam jack danials etc start their starters from a single test tube "slant" and as we said just increase the size of the starter until it is suitable volume to add to the ferment..
