High all.....when diluting your spirits to say 40%, what type of water does everyone use e.g. distilled water, tank water or just plain old tap water?

I have one of those under sink filter systems that supposedly remove everything.
Cheapish and the water tastes a hell of a lot better.
Replace the filter once a year and it’s all good

I had one of those in my last place. We moved a few months ago abd don't have one anymore. The water here in Brissie is pretty good so far I haven't noticed any problem with just straight tap water. Probably will install one of those filters though. No harm in improving your product :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: On filtered water, I have a fancy fridge that filters water. A cheaper option could be a Brita water filter jug, will do a similar job and at a fraction of the price.

I don’t get this buying water stuff, and on top you’ve got a bunch of plastic bottles to get ridd of

I do use one of those inline caravan filters for use with my washes but haven't really considered using it for spirit dilution. I might give it a go next time.
