Feints Run

Postby SBB » Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:45 pm

I think I already know the answer to this question but just want to check for safety reasons. Im getting close to doing my first feints run and am wondering if I still need to throw the foreshots (first 50-100 ml) out??? This Run is made up of the heads and tails of about 5 different runs. Im guessing the answer is yes throw the first 100ml

Yeah mate I'd chuck the first 100ml for sure, your going to get some good booze from this run, and a lot of it but just make sure you run it nice and slow at the lower end of the recomended temp range for ya T500.

Oh yeah and make sure you water your feints down to 40% before you charge your boiler, and start your run early in the day cuz it's going to be a long one :D

Cheers.

Do you guys keep the feints say from bwko and a rum wash seperate or do you combine all your feints from rum/bwko/tpw etc etc and run it together?

Like mac said, chuck them, its 100ml of the strongest heads, its not like you were gonna keep them to drink anyway.

Two years is a lot of runs ago, bit hard to remember really, but from memory it all went well.
Your right about that one Mac, the feints were much less troublesome to deal with than the X.
