Sugar vs Corn suger vs Dextros

Postby Snibbo » Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:54 pm

Watching some utube (Barely and Hops Brewing) And they did a comparison with Sugar and Corn Sugar and suggested that Corn Sugar was a better product. Id like to try Corn Sugar but not sure where to source it (Living in NW Vic). I can get dextrose but its costs a lot more. So Id really like to hear what some of you guy are using and what you prefer.

Really appreciate the help im getting here

I’ve used dextrose numerous times. The ONLY advantage is that it ferments faster IMO.

The only thing you'll achieve by using dextrose over normal sugar for something you're going to distill is a lighter wallet.
