Pure distilling still

The condenser is loose we have used a new seal but this thing is supposed to be only hand tight but it rocks around a lot.
We were going to bite the bullet and buy a new rig but hubby still trying to fix it.
Any ideas would be great, also how about re packing with copper was told this is better than the steel that is in it.
