My neighbour is giving me a box air con, just wondering if anyone has used one of these for cooling water, my thoughts were to build a small box at the front and run some coiled pipe in there, i could use a small reservoir with pump for water supply.

You would be better off turn it into a chiller and will be expensive to run. Have look on aquarium forums for box airconditioner chiller.

You.would be better off with ibc or blue.drum recirc system

I already have 2 drums connected, pump from one dump to other, after about 5 hours i find the water is still pretty warm.

This was just a thought since i am getting the air con free.

Have look at aquarium chiller as I said but will cost a bomb to run.. my.advice get an ibc or small 1000l water tank..
Put the aircon through wall shed to keep YOU cool instead :handgestures-thumbupleft:
