Storing Low Wines

Hi All,

About to start my first WBAB wash, currently have 2 x 30L Fermenters (will be getting a third when can actually get to the shops!).

Question is, is it ok to store low wines (<40% abv) after a stripping run in these Fermenters as they will then pass through a slower spirit run once i have enough low wines?

Thanks as always!

Definitely not.
Glass , stainless, copper or wood only near ANY alcohol , low wines or not.
I use either 5L glass demijons or 19L corny kegs

Thanks Stig, love this forum to save making rooky mistakes!
Will get on the hunt for some cheap kegs for storage, don't want too many large glass jars dotted around ready to trip over (-|

Old corny kegs that have leaky seals can often be had cheap.

You can take out the posts and any rubber/plastic-containing bits and use cork.

I replaced my seals with silicone seal kits and I installed taps in the bottom of the corny kegs.

Be careful where you store as could be creating a fire risk if storing too big a quantity .
