Low Wines For Gin

I did a stripping run of a sugar wash and have 7 litres of distillate diluted to 40%.
I want to try and make an Easy Gin by macerating some botanicals in 1 litre of the distillate and running it through the air still at a reduced power level.

Q: Will the low wines be OK for this purpose or do I need the hearts from a spirit run?

Cheers,

You are far better off doing a spirit run and do cuts then leave the final spirit for a week or so to air out then use the hearts at 40% to macerate the gin and herbs then a day or two later throw the lot in a pot still and run it nice and slow.

Low wines are rubbish , undrinkable.
For making gin you need the hearts of hearts , the best if the best.
Macerate the botanicals in these hearts and run it.
Least that’s what I do :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks guys.

Just gotta do 2 more strippings so I'll have enough for a spirit run.

And then....
