Cuttle fish bone

Postby NFI » Thu Sep 29, 2022 11:24 am

Does anybody know if (or have tried using) cuttle fish bone as a substitue for oyster shells as an alternative to Calcium Carbonate.
Mr google tells me they are primarily made of Aragonite which is one of three naturally occuring forms of Calcium Carbonate.
I guess if I boil them up to clean/sterilize and they don't go to mush they would possibly be Okay.
Any thoughts?
