Raise Ph ina a TPW

Seems like my TPW has stalled at sg 1040 Ph tested it reading 3.4 may need to raise the Ph can I use bicarbonate soda

You can but may effect flavour. Calcium carbonate(shell grit, oyster shells,marble) wont effect taste.

Is Whiteing the same as calcium carbonate
