Heat during the clearing period after siphoning?

Hi all,
I have just put on my first molasses rum wash and it has finished fermenting (according to my hydrometer).
I only have one heat belt and want to put another wash on (a weetbix/all bran one) and was wondering if i need to keep rum the wash heated after i siphon it off to a different fermenter and let it sit for a week, or do i just let it sit at room temp (which is pretty cold in my shed at night at the moment)

I want to use the heat belt for the next ferment but don't know if i should take it off the rum wash, although i am suspecting that i can???
I could never find an answer to this question.
Thanks,
Joel.

No need to continue heating once it's done

Thanks.
I had the feeling that was the case but just wanted to be sure. :)

Welcome Puk,
It’s customary to drop in to the welcome centre and do a little intro .
But , to answer your question , as Matt said , you don’t need to heat a finished wash.
In fact a lot of people will actually cold crash to settle any muck out.
But molasses is a different beast due to so many unfermentables rendering hydrometer readings a guide only.
