bonding glass to copper

Postby invisigoth » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:04 pm

after using my pot head for the first time on my t500 boiler, i found it a bit difficult to get a bottle under the output tube. taking samples during the run to work out when it hit 20ish % to end the strip run was also a bit of a pain. i figured i could solve both problems by making a parrot. i'd like to put a sight glass on it to make it easier to read, but to keep it lean i want to bond a curved piece of glass to a cut away on the tube. any idea what to use to bond the glass to the copper that's safe? i'm guessing some sort of silicone sealant that's food safe.

Yes, a food safe or fish tank Silicone would work, also a U.V. glue :handgestures-thumbupleft:
the silicone would be my choice ;-)
