Having a shipload of trouble finding rye.
tried at every HBS, supermarket bakery, heathfood store. just get blank looks at all of them.
Is there another name for it?

Bloke,

Had same issue can't help with NZ vendors sadly, but have two here in SA and both do on line orders worst case...let me know...

2 pts.

I used to use plain kibbled rye..try bread making shops... it adds a rougher pepper, more depth like but mellow taste.

Swapped to a malted rye...now that's just plain horn....has that quick turn around like cracked or kibbled corn, adds depth but no extra time needed to mellow.

cheers
