Still design

Have a question for the experts

Would there be any benefit in having a 4" column bend into a 4" product condenser, what i mean is all the plated/bubbler's I see seem to have a reducer right after the reflux condenser then bend into a smaller gauge pipe.

Is this because of cost or is there some other theory behind the reduced size pipe?

There's many answers to this, but you can run a smaller tube after the reflux condenser as you're not really taking all the vapour.... when it's important/hearts collection.
