Hi criss
I also am interested in improving the the quality of spirit that I produce the volume I seem to have under control for me my pot has a 8"tryclover so when I see the 6""and 4"" bubble plates it seem that this may be the way I should go let's see where we go from here .

Hi CT,are you talking BIG stills,or BIG boilers? Youve just got to be careful what you say on the net,as some people get pissed off and refer to you as a person who supplies illicit alcohol :teasing-neener: :teasing-neener:

I loved the bigger volume of my 100L boiler, the run time is increased a little sure but so is the yield.

This was with a 4" x 4 plate column with my runs taking around 5 to 6 hours, but you could push it faster if you wanted to, I run a little slower than most as I enjoy the crisp clean flavours achieved by doing so.

My new set up is a 6" x 4 plate column on a similar boiler, I'm expecting around 5 L/PH take off rate with the same run strategy as with the 4" rig, I'll be posting plenty about it & doing videos in the next couple of weeks.

Cons... I cant really think of any :D (maybe I just dont want too)

I use a 18 gal boiler so around 82 ltrs .Its on a 100mm bubbler and I reckon it's shit hot. the larger boilers make cuts even easier and it suite my 75ltr fermenters just dandy :handgestures-thumbupleft:
